EcoSoya CB-Advanced is a container candle soy wax with extreme resistance to bloom (white frosting) and “wet spots”. It contracts slightly to produce a beautiful uniform appearance, generally requires only one pour, has a good scent throw with fragrances and a creamy white appearance.
- Melt Point: 42.2’C-45’C
- Pouring Temperature: 40'C-70'C
- Flash Point: 233’C
- Maximum Scent Load: 10%
CB-Advanced is our best selling container wax. It is preferred by beginners and professionals alike for its ease to work with and it’s high performance. Candles made using CB-Advanced resist frosting, have a smooth top surface and an even burn pool with consistent colour retention.
It is normal for wax to solidify at the beginning of the pour during its first contact with the container. CB-Advanced Soy should have a pour temperature high enough so that when the container is full, the initial solidified wax has re-melted. The temperature should not be so high that the liquid wax sits more than 30 minutes before starting to solidify
Pour temperatures will vary according to the container type and size, fragrance and dye and the effects you want to achieve. CB-Advanced Soy can be poured as low as 37.8'C if the wax is kept in motion until poured.
Colours and fragrances
To achieve a better colour depth in EcoSoya Advanced wax, we recommend adding approximately 30% more dye. Fragrances work well in EcoSoya Advanced, but please always do a test burn. If you have been making candles with a different type of wax (soy or paraffin), EcoSoya Advanced may perform differently. To minimise scent loss, add fragrance prior to pouring the wax at a temperature no less than 57'C. Remember to accommodate for the temperature drop due to the addition of the cooler scent when targeting the pour temperature.
CB-Advanced Soy requires larger wicking than paraffin.
Keep stored in a cool, dry location away from direct heat, sunlight and moisture. Temporary extremes in temperatures (cold or hot) have no adverse effect.
When stored properly, as per the instructions above, CB-Advanced has a minimum shelf life of 3 years.
When starting out with a new formula of materials (wax, wick, fragrance, dye & container) always perform a test burn. Wait 48 hours after pouring your candles to ensure they have fully set.
