CB-Xcel has been discontinued by the manufacturers. EcoSoya are working on replacement brands so please watch this space. In the meantime, we still have plenty of Advanced and PillarBlend available.

CB-XceL has the highest melt point of all our container waxes, enabling shipment of candles to all climates. It has extreme resistance to bloom (white frosting) and “wet spots” and produces an excellent scent throw with fragrances. It maintains an even burn pool with consistent colour retention. It adheres extremely well to container walls.
CB-XceL uses a new technology that allows for top surface re-melting. It produces a smooth, even burn pool with consistent color retention. CB-Xcel works incredibly well with dyes.
Melt CB-XceL to a minimum of 68.3°C under gentle agitation to promote even heating and thorough mixing. Allow the wax to cool to the desired pour temperature.
Pour temperatures will vary according to container type and size, fragrance(s), essentials oils, dye(s), and the candle effects you are creating
Different container configurations result in various cooling rates. Cooling too quickly or too slowly can cause concaving and/or frosting. A recommended starting temperature is 60° C. Adjustments up or down may be necessary. CB-XceL can be poured as low as 41.7°C if the wax is continually mixed until poured. If choosing to pour at 57.2°C or lower, first add the scent at a higher temperature (60°C), then allow wax to cool to desired pour temperature. Pour temperatures should be checked and confirmed according to seasonal changes.
As the candle is being poured, it is typical for wax to solidify at first contact with the container. CB-XceL should have a pour temperature high enough so that when the container is full, the initial solidified wax has re-melted. Please note–the temperature should not be so high that the liquid wax sits more than 30 minutes before starting to solidify.
Keep stored in a cool dry location away from direct heat, sunlight and moisture. Temporary extremes in temperatures (cold or hot) have no adverse effect.
When stored properly, as per the instructions above, CB-XceL has a minimum shelf life of 3 years.
When starting out with a new formula of materials (wax, wick, fragrance, dye & container) always perform a test burn. Wait 48 hours after pouring your candles to ensure they have fully set.
